Because I'm Potty Trained...

I thought I would get myself a reward!
Ha! Just joking...
well...not about me being potty trained...that I am...
but I didn't necessarily reward myself...
my hubby did...and my lovely parents...
It is an early birthday present (Jan. 31st)...
Here it is...
my new happy table...
Oh joy!
We got it here for a heck of a deal!
I have been lookin all over these parts for a cherry-type table...
with 4 chairs and a bench!
Woohoo! Got it!
Happy early birthday to the mama!
Here is another little something that is new...and happy...
my new 'C' from Anthropologie...
thank you my mama!
And the black 'C' used to be gold...
thank you spray paint!

And now...
on to the news you all have been dying to hear about...
potty training news!!
Oh I can sense your excitement through the computer!

I love all the advice I received from you all!
Dani suggested a sticker book, that I can take with us shopping.
That way when Allikaye uses a "big" potty on the go -
she can put a sticker in her book - on the go!
Brilliant! Thanks, Dani!
And Allikaye is really excited about her bubble-gum potty book!

And McMommy - who I just l.o.v.e to read - she is hilarious...
suggested a potty insert thingy... Oh...and I am not rushing this sweet 2 year old of mine...
she wants to do this potty thing most of the time...
on her own - and she is actually getting pretty good at it!

I am just trying to get this thing consistent...
and try for her to stay encouraged and excited about it.

Thanks again for the advice!
Where else can I get words of wisdom in minutes
from friends all over the place!?

We are also having some sweet friends from our small group over for dinner...
and I am making this...easy and yummy!

I am off to sit and stare at my new table!
You all rock...have a grrreat week!

Oh whoa! Wait! I didn't mean the potty insert thing...I meant the DISPOSABLE potty covers with cartoon characters on them (like Dora, Sesame Street, etc.) You can just put them in your purse or diaper bag and then unfold them to cover the big potty when you are out in a public bathroom. When you are done, you just throw it away! I thought the characters may help to make the big potty seem not so scary.

You must have thought I was a FOOL to suggest to carry around the big insert thingy!!! hee hee!!!
xoxo lots of luck!!

Left the color of my kitchen on my blog comments...cute table! Happy early b-day.
potty training= SO not as easy as I thought. tried it yesterday. she held it for 4 hours then I put her down for a nap and needless to say she enjoyed her "special pullup panties/diaper". going to but a book today to see if that helps..ugh!

yay for a new table!! isn't it fun to get new furniture?!
we always did a sticker chart for potty training.
they loved covered that up. all it was was a piece of construcution paper that said Potty Chart. and each time they went they got a sticker. we used it till there was not a speck of paper showing.
congrats on this big stage!

Hey Girl,

Very Cute Table!!

I also had a question for you but I don't know your email address:) so when you respond you can send it to mrswieds@gmail.com
I have a Cali. friend who is going to Denver for a conference the end of Feb. she wants to drive to the spings. being a cali girl she is all worried about the snow. She is renting a car so she wanted me to ask you if she'll be safe in a car that is not 4-wheel drive? I thought probably yes, but what do you think in Feb...Does the springs get lots of snow? will she be ok in a non-4 wheel drive car?
Thanks for the help!

Happy early b-day! Y'all are doing better with the potty training than we are. Jancie is not consistent at all, but maybe by this summer she will be totally trained.
