Summer...summer...summer....

Allikaye's first year of preschool
is over!
That went f.a.s.t!

while wearing their snakes
made from one of daddy's ties.

Most times she is making up her own lyrics...
other times they are a mix of her own and lyrics she's heard.
Either way - she belts the songs out!

I had to grab my camera and record
her when I heard her out in the backyard...
She is awesome!

Happy last week of school for us!

Happy Snowy May!

This is what we woke up to the other day...

Mother's Day weekend was filled
with planting pretty flowers...
hikes around pretty lakes...
and a nice sunburn.

THEN...
here it is...
SNOW!!!
Come on, Colorado!

Yeesh!

But this pretty girl brightened up the snowy weather!

She had her dance pictures this week...
getting ready for the recital which is in 2 weeks!

The Easter Bunny Drives a Limo...

Happy Easter Weekend!!

Before I get to the bunny limo...
here is my chocolate faced girl
decorating our spring Easter cookies...

giveaway.
Merely for a laugh.
And of course, she WON!

Here is what she won...
the Easter Bunny will come to your house...
play some games...
hide some eggs...
and here's the kicker...
he will arrive in a limo.
Oh yeah!

We were just cracking up at this.
So very funny!

The kids, on the other hand, where very excited.
Awaiting the limo...

There he is!!! EEEEE!!!!

Oh, us adults were laughing so hard!

Out back to collect some eggs!

It was very cute! The kids really were incredibly
excited that the bunny was actually there.
But I think they were pretty into all their candy too...

I am very thankful that
I am able to express to Allikaye
why we really celebrate Easter.
And why it is a very important day for us
as Christians.
She has really grasped the depth of
Christ's Love and Sacrifice.

So very thankful for that!
Thank you, Jesus!

Despite what I know AK
understands, and believes,
we got this funny email from her
preschool teacher:

"On Monday I asked the class why we celebrated Easter.
Of course I heard because of the Easter Bunny and to find candy.
So I asked Allikaye who was the reason we celebrated Easter.
She answered "Jesus".
Then I asked why do we celebrate Easter
and she says
"Because Jesus wanted the Easter Bunny to give children chocolate!"


Hilarious!
Love it, Allikaye!

Helicopter Egg Drop!

It was time for our 3rd Annual
Easter Egg Drop!

Woohoo!

Here is year 1:

My friend Erin's sweet girl, Ava,
and Allikaye were eagerly awaiting the helicopter!

And then...
we heard the copter!!!
Allikaye said she wanted him to drop the eggs
right into her basket....

Watching it fly in...

I could not believe how low and close it was!

Made me nervous!
But it was very cool at the same time!
And it was loud...
as you can see the plugging ears...

It dropped the eggs all over the field...

Look how low it is!
It's hard to see,
look below the houses to the right of Ak...
it has white stripes...

When the helicopter left...
Miss Easter Egg Girl took off!

I guess her goal was the middle of the field...
because she was jumping over lots of eggs
just running really fast!

She finally stopped and collected a ton!
Allikaye says she "got one million."

Then I looked over and she was stuffing them in
Matt's back pockets!
Silly girl. Very silly.

I love this.
I am so excited to celebrate
a beautiful day this weekend.
And what a fun way to kick off this important and
wonderful Holy Week...

DIsney on Ice...Classic

Makin memories over here!

We took Allikaye to Disney Princess Classics on Ice...
it was a jaw-dropping event
for this princess lovin girl!

Allikaye calls it,
"Disney Princess on Ice...Classic"
it's really funny to hear!

We started with a million dollar
tinkerbell slushie cup.
Expensive, yes sirree!

But then again,
Miss Thang is worth it!

We were so excited for the princesses
to come out!

Allikaye waved every time they
skated by our side...
so precious!

Sweet, happy girl...

The finale...
all the princesses in amazing costumes.
White and gold...
really impressive!

And Snow White even winked and waved
at Allikaye...
highlight!

I took a lot more pictures,
and evidently I need to practice my photo skillz
with moving objects
because they were all really blurry.

Disney Princess on Ice....Classic
was so fun.
Thankful that we are able to make these
fun family memories!
