Catching Up...

Ok -
this being pregnant with twins thing...
has left the blog the last thing in my crowded mind.
eee!

So I am determined to get some memories
down onto this ol bloggy blog.
The pictures have been sitting in iphoto for far too long.

May I present to you....
the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo
Mustin' Bustin' Champion!!!!

ChAmPiOn!!!
Oh - yeah -
Princess Sheep Riding Girl...
She's in the middle of those cowboys
getting ready to hold on and not let go
of that sheep.

I was so excited/nervous/shocked
while Allikaye was riding...
so my pictures are not that good.

So let me just say, the girl
did not let go.
Until the cowboy rodeo clown guy
pulled her off at the end of the arena!

She was the official longest time on the muttin'!
So proud!!

She was super proud of herself too!
We didn't even know if she would do the whole
in front of the crowd thing...
riding a sheep!
But she was so excited...
actually waved to the crowd while they were cheering for her!
It was quite hilarious!!

Yeehaw!

Piano!!!

Thanks to Craigslist,
we now have some furniture in our front room!

A free piano!!!
Yes, free!
And it is gorgeous!
It is "vintage" in places -
but it adds to the beauty and character!

Miss Allikaye loves it too!
Hopefully we can get some lessons for her soon!

She will sit and make up songs,
my favorite one was titled,
"Princess Diamond Castle"
Jamming!!!

Matt is actually SUPER good!
He took lessons all growing up -
and it has all come back to him!

He will youtube any song -
and picks it up pretty fast!
Did you know you can get easy piano
lessons on almost any song?!

Here are the top requests from
AK and mama...
Justin Beiber, Baby, Baby
(and since there really isn't furniture in the
front room - we can dance awesome!)
Bruno Mars, Amazing
And currently working on...
Tu Pac, Changes

So fun!

Yay for free pianos!

Curling hair and cuttin down trees

Here is my excuse for lack of blogging...
we moved!
We have been busy peeps over here.
But our house is starting to truly feel like HOME!

We are absolutely loving...
l.o.v.i.n.g our new house.

It is definitely starting to feel
like our "forever" house.

Soon, I will get some pics posted...
but for now -
here are some instances
that made it onto my camera,
thus making it onto the blog!!

AK wanted to sleep in curlers one night...

She actually made it through the night with them in -
so I was so excited to see her curls all day.
But homegirl flipped out!!

She didn't like that it made her hair really short -
I mean REALLY didn't like it!

I asked to take a picture of it -
and this is what happened...
"NOOOOOOO!"
I chased her all over...
Then I kinda got a good one...

After recovering from her curl nightmare...
we took a bath...
yes, she was THAT upset with her hair
(teenage years preview)
So then we headed to Lowe's for their
Free Kid's Project Saturdays.
They are awesome!
The 2nd and 4th Saturdays a month.

We just take ours home and do it there!
Hammering away...
don't forget the safety goggles!

Ok - so here is the only shot of our house so far -
Matt cut down a huge pine tree
that was taking up space...
with the help of our new manly neighbors,
they brought the tree down!

We have loved our new neighbors!
We had a block party the other night - and stayed up too late!

This
never
happens...
Allikaye actually fell asleep on the couch!
Which sums up the first 2 weeks
of moving in!
We are tired!
But it's getting there!

Allikaye has fallen in love with her new house too.
Here is her new tree...
Daddy's making a swing for it too!

I can't stop thanking the Lord
for our blessing of this house!

Come visit!

xoxo

Lemonade and Tangled

Last weekend Jessye and me
decided to have a garage sale
to get rid of a lot of junk that we cleaned out.
Oh - mainly because we are
MOVING!!!
Yes - we bought a house!
It is only about 4 blocks away -
but bigger and more of
"forever" home for us!
So excited!

Allikaye and Mallory
decided that a Lemonade Stand
would be the coolest thing
during our garage sale.

Here they each wrote their names on their sign...
Getting serious...
The professional sellers...
Allikaye told her first customer it would be
$10. Then she changed her mind to 25 cents.
Jessye and Kaida manning the garage sale.
Then came one of her
best friends' bday parties...
Delaney turned 5!!

Here are the girls in their Tangled shirts!
Such sweet friends...
A little coloring...
The mamas...
A little tree climbing...
Getting ready to smack Flynn with a frying pan...
Laura spinning AK...

VERY fun weekend!
We sold a lot of the junk
that we now don't have to move to our new house!
And we made some money that went directly into the
"IKEA Account!"
The new Denver Ikea opens
the same week we close on our house!
Woohoo!

Oh - and I am obsessed with Pinterest...fyi.

xoxo

XTREME CHALLENGE!

Thanks to my friend, Wendy,
she hooked up a date night for about
16 couples to go to the
Xtreme Challenge Arena
Oh.yeah.
It had a lot of the same type of
events/challenges like the
old school American Gladiator show...
remember that?
Unfortunately,
we didn't have those awesome
patriotic outfits...
but we did battle! ha!

Laura, me and Jessye.
X treme for sure!

We started off doing the
Human Wrecking Ball...
here is Wendy and her hubby Mike...
this was my favorite one
(maybe because I sent Matt FLYING into the ball pit on this one!)

Matt and me jousting it out...
I may have been the first to knock my Mr. off -
but don't tell anyone.
We did a little
"Human Jenga"
This picture isn't us...
but it shows the crazy spinner thing.
This was #1 that played a part in the "after" events
of this fun night.
Jessye, me and Wendy still spinning after the "ride" stopped.
Tough girls...

This is crazy spinner #2.
Jessye and me.
In retrospect, we REALLY should have stopped here.
No more spinning would have been a really
good.
idea.
But did we?
Nope.
Here is crazy spinner #3.
This red beast, spun us tooooo fast.
And was the evil contraption that
had Jessye and me both throwing up
after!
YECH!!!
Definitely not as young as we used to be!

Here is Matt and Stentz..
Matt tearing it up on the BMX challenge...

It was a super fun place!
Maybe more fun if I was younger?
But I only say that because of the after effects of the crazy spinners!

We are XTREME!!!
uh, huh.

She is a dancing queen...

Here is my girl...
pre-recital,
getting her pictures done...
Sweet pose, girl...
Yes, she is the one with her chin w.a.y. up...
hehe!
Ole!
She wanted me to take a picture of her pretty curls
on recital day...
Possibly the highlight of her big day...
her bf Mallory came to watch her!!
She rocked the performance!!
She did her
"Hot, How Hot" dance perfectly!!
We were so proud of her!
Allikaye was the leader of the train in the dance.
And she was the first one to start the line of skipping!
Yay, AK!
Ak and her dancing friend, Estee.
This girl LOVES getting flowers!
Such a special day.
I'm pretty sure that smile says it all...
she loves the attention! :0)
Mallory was so sweet!
She was telling Allikaye that she was a really good dancer...
hehe!
Getting some love from Popa!
Precious.
I am so thankful that Allikaye is in such
a great dance program!

I am more than proud of my pretty girl!
