3 month old babies...and a preschool grad!!

She has just livened up this past month...

3 wonderful months with 2 amazing babies! 

Also this month was the graduation of our sweet preschooler!

T-W-O Month Old Babies!!

 This boy has got to be the sweetest boy ever!!

He LOVES to smile!

He will smile the second you start to talk to him...

sometimes all I have to do is look into his eyes...

smile!!

 

Sweet Cambria is our little Birdie!

She already thinks about things a lot...just like AK! 

She is more selctive with her smiles...

but when she does...

it is the biggest, most joyful thing that a person can see!

 

They are also both sleeping 5 to 6 hours a night...

eat every 3 hours still in the day...

both are being very vocal and cooing lots...

still are loving and in awe of their big sister...

and are just plain perfect in my opinion!

They have already changed so much
in just one month!
Mostly in their weights...
they are g-o-o-d eaters!!
 

So blessed...

doubly blessed!!!

Springtime!

 Spring is here!

We have had a super start to our spring fun...

Starting with the 4th annual Helicopter Egg Drop!!

We love this!

And this year it was h.o.t!
But the tradition continues...

for a month now!

It has gone fast...
really fast!

The Twins Have Arrived!!

February 27, 2012...
two beautiful babies were born!
Here is Cambria Jane and Kai Matthew!
Woohooo!

Here is a bit of the story of their birthday!

We headed to the hospital in the morning
with bad contractions...
this was the 3rd time heading to the hospital -
the previous 2 being false alarms.
I was determined to not leave without my babies being born.
I was pretty miserable being pregnant with these cuties.
So very swollen...had no ankles...no knees...could barely walk.
And my blood pressure was h.i.g.h.
So once there, they had to do a c-section...
different plan that I had intended.
But I wanted to have my babies healthy...
and a c-section was in order.
Ah!
I was quite nervous!

The babies were born super fast...
Kai came at 4:07
Cambria came at 4:08
Then my body decided to not behave.
I had a postpartum hemorrhage...
which means my uterus was overstretched...
twins.
And it wouldn't contract...
which means it bleeds until contraction.
I lost 2 liters of blood.
Had to get a transfusion...
yech.

Despite the yuck of my body...
these babies are perfect!
And they were suprisingly big!!
Kai - 6 lbs 6 oz!
Cambria - 5 lbs 14 oz!
Matt and I could not believe they were that big!
I knew I was miserable!! :0)
Praise the Lord they are prefect little babies!

I was out of it for awhile after the birth...
so I love this picture...
I missed Allikaye's first look at her new brother and sister...
and this makes my heart happy to see her little smile.
She loves these babies so much!

We sure love our blessings.
Have I mentioned how in love we are?
Well...we are.

They are so different already.
Different cries...
different ways to be soothed...
but so so sweet and good natured.

Proud daddy...

They are almost one month old!
Life has become more and more scheduled and calm.
We are becoming a working family again.
Getting used to two babies and a 5 year old...
two babies that were born 4 weeks early.
March 26th is their actual due date...and we are almost there!

They are champion nursers...
I can tandem feed them -
which makes me feel so successful!
They are both gaining weight wonderfully...
and are enjoying their big sister...
and their new home!

First bath at home...

Watching TV while calming her brother down...
she's a great helper.

They like to hang out here in the day...
