Where Oh Where Is Spring?

Being cooped up in the house...
because of the SNOW...
and the dreaded wind...my nemesis...
has led to some organizing and "spring dreaming."

Here is some of the happenings over in these parts.

I went through my old Barbies from when I was a young gal...
they are quite a hit with Miss Thing!

I love how all the Ken dolls have cut off shirts...
I told my hubby that is why I fell in love with him...
it stems from my childhood toys...who knew? hehe

My grandma made clothes for my dolls...
and my mom's dolls...
so these clothes are v.i.n.t.a.g.e!
I am so impressed with my grandma's skillz!

We also cleaned out and rearranged Allikaye's
under-the-stairs playroom.
We moved her kitchen in...
and created a "cozy spot" - as she calls it -
way in the back.

When we were finished she said,

"Awesome, mom!"

And here is mama's craft...
A new chalkboard!!!
Woohoo!

After I cleaned up Allikaye's kitchen and toys -
and moved them to her playroom,
I had this extra space...
which was perfect for this board I have wanted to make for awhile now!

Here is the finished product!!!

I think I will put each of my memory verses on it!
It is in a place where we will see it all day...
we could use the reminders!

But for now...
here is a little SPRING HOPE...
with snow on the ground outside...



Oh...one more thing...
this is the new coolest way to eat a donut...
at least according to the Hip Miss Thang!
Come on Spring...You can do it!

I just can't get enough of these!We knew we wanted to get some
pictures in an older church with pews...
but these turned out better than I could have imagined!

The woodwork in this downtown church was amazing!
And the little girl in her beauty was priceless!

Allikaye loved the chance to just sit in the empty church
and look through the hymnals and bibles.
It was beautiful...have I said that yet?

I can't blame her...

When I get blessed with an enormous amount of money...
I am going to buy this awesome green cabinet!

It was hilarious to watch her totally posing for the camera...

We have parent-teacher conferences this week...
which makes for a little more stressful week...
but I can do it...
really trying to manage the stressed-out-mom-act...
I'll let you know how it goes!

I do know that God has blessed me immensely
with some amazing friendships that are continuing to grow...
and that sure does help!!

Well...here is the newest movie...
MARY POPPINS!!

I have to admit, we bought this movie to distract from Annie...
yes it is a good movie,
but any one with a toddler knows there isn't such a thing as one time...
it's over and over and over....

So here is Mary Poppins...
positively perfect in every way...
as she so humbly says of herself...Tonight...while trying to wash Allikaye's face...
she kept saying,
"mom, not a spoonful!"
"NOT a spoonful!"

I wasn't quite sure what she was saying!

And then Star (the cat) jumped up on the counter...
and this is what Miss Thing was saying,

"Star, you are not a spoonful of sugar!"
"Mom, Star's not a spoonful of sugar!"

So the question for you all...
