The Quilt! The Quilt!

Here it is...
LOVE it! LOVE!
Here is Raja modeling it for me...

The wonderful thing about this quilt...
the thing tht makes my heart flutter...
is that my Allikaye loves it just as much!
She has asked to sleep with it rather than her other
beloved blankie!

Hehe! We're so proud of our quilt!

This bench has been pink for awhile.
I bought it at an awesome antique shop in town.
It was labeled "Timeout Bench"...hehe!

After some pretty spray paint...
and some quilt scraps...
we've got a new beauty!

Here's the back side of the pillow...

There ya go!
The creations that have been
making me smile!

Married 7 Years!

It's our Happy Anniversary!
SeVeN yEaRs!

It has been a crazy and wild seven years!
But crazy good and wild good!

This picture was on our
wedding invitations...
we look so young!

I love you hubster!
Only 3 more until we can go to Hawaii, right?
For our 10th?? Huh, huh?

I looked up what the 7-year anniversary
gift is supposed to be...
WOOL and COPPER!
What?!

One of the suggestions for a gift
was to
"visit a sheep farm together"
for the "wool".
Seriously?!
haha!
I can imagine Matt and me visiting a sheep farm!

We need to create a new list of
anniversary gifts...
REAL gifts!
Who's in with me?

This is one of the things I gave Matt...

Just to remind him of the things I love about him...
and not just on our anniversary!!

Love you, Matt!

Blast Ball!

These are pictures
that document
friendship.

Wonderful
Innocent
Fun
Priceless
Friendships.

Allikaye is on a Blast Ball
team with her besties!

Blast Ball is basically
3 and 4 year old tee-ball.

This team is cool because
it is the daughter's of each of
my women's 4's volleyball team!

And now our daughter's are on the same team too!

Here is Allikaye and Mallory taking practice very seriously!
Coach Matt... yay!

Running to the base!

Practicing ground balls...

I must say that Allikaye was quite the hitter!
Pose!

Allikaye loves these girls...
I mean loves them!
I pray that God will continue to
cultivate these friendships for my sweet girl.

Oh, it just melts my heart!

Here's a shout out to my teamies...
the moms of these girls.
Not only are we a hot sassy vb team...
but the friendships off the court
mean the world to me.
THE WORLD!!

I love you girls...
and so does Allikaye!

Strike!

What a wonderful day...
daddy getting a sub at work...
and takes Allikaye and mama
bowling!!!

It was a blast!
So much fun!
But according to Allikaye,
only fun for about 7 frames.

We did stay for one whole game though...
oh yeah...we are hard core bowlers!

After daddy helped a few times...
Miss Independent was all on her own.
Hope the bowling management doesn't mind the dents
in their floor when she kept dropping the ball!
oops.

Rollin' it...
Watchin it...
Man, she's cute!

So here is a fun picture
that shows one of the things that
comes with being a mom...
you no longer get to bowl by yourself...
or in other words...
without a pretty little thang attached to your hip!

I have to admit I was pretty good
with the hip attachment.
Oh yeah.

Thanks daddy for taking your girls out.

Just for the record:
Scores:
Allikaye - 72
Ashley - 100
Matt - 122
Matt wants me to say he usually scores a lot higher than that.
So there.

Bowling!

Snapshots of our day

Here is my angel...
just waking up.

Oh, how sweet.

Actually she had been yelling,
"MOM, I'm ready to go downstairs!!!!"
For about 30 minutes...
then pretended she was sleeping when I walked in...
This is Scruffy and Kitty...
they are the treasured stuffed animals.
There is no sleeping going on unless they are present.
Up and at em...
but still in the pajamas...
this was our chosen battle of the morning.
I got her hair done though...
score one for mama!
Playing with some magnetic paper dolls...
from Cracker Barrel...
mmmm....

Went to the Dollar Store and got this cheapo
frame for some artwork.

Allikaye can spell, A-L-L-I!!!!
We are very proud of this accomplishment!
Isn't she smart?!

Got some killer deals at the Nike Outlet...
did you know I live right by an outlet mall?
Come and visit!

Allikaye filled out a little questionnaire...
I love how she filled in every box.

Oh, and we finally changed out of our pajamas!
Dance class here we come!

After we finish watching Chuggington...

Happy Day!

Quilt Anxiety, Braids, Framed...

I am making a quilt!!
Oh now don't go getting all excited...
it is not very fancy...
just a simple patchwork one...
but the fabric!!!
Oh the fabric!!
I have saved up from my Etsy store
to buy these!
I just stare at them...
and pet them.
Yesterday I did all the cutting.
Just the cutting was enough for one day for me.
My anxiety from worrying if I was going to mess up the cuts was an 8...
maybe a 8.5.
I needed some wine after this.
I am super excited for this quilt!
Allikaye is getting her professional pics done in a month...
by the same amazing photographer that took
her 1 year, 2 year, and now 3 year pics!!
And I am hoping to have a quilt...
my quilt (!)...
in the pictures!

Here is another exciting thing over here...
braids!!
Allikaye watched Rapunzel and then asked me
to do her hair in a braid!
I was so. on. it!
She never lets me doll her up!
I told her to peek up at me in this picture...
oh she makes me swoon!
So pretty!

Okay - here's another little project I done did.
Yeah, I just said that.
I had a Keep Me Calm poster since February...
and I have been searching for the perfect frame.
Thank you Goodwill for...
this gold beauty!

It was a mirror...very gold!

Here it is after some white paint...
e.x.a.c.t.l.y what I envisioned!
Woohoo!

Here is another of my braided beauty!
I have to put this picture in here.
I need to remember this time in Allikaye's life.
She makes me laugh! Laugh! Laugh!

She is very particular about what she wears.
Right now we are going on week 3 of
dresses...
only dresses.
It's the first thing she says when she wakes up,
"Mom, can I get dressed? I only wear dresses."

And the dresses typically change
throughout
the day.

I never know what I am going to see when I
go in after quiet time.

Today...
blue dress...
and pink headband...
oh and the braids...
mama loves the braids.

Quilting and braiding
in Colorado.

We out.

A girl and her pets

I think pets are important.
Especially to a little girly.

And this girly absolutely loves
her pets...
Tre and Star.
Or Star and Tre, according to the picture.

There are days when these pets drive me crazy crazy...
but she loves them no matter what.
And I know that the bond she has with them
is priceless.

And doesn't Miss Allikaye look so
cute in her dance outfit??
I took these before we headed off to dance class!

I also have been making some blocks...
these are for our good friends...
and their daughter, Jenna Lee,
who just turned 5!

She's a big Tinkerbell fan...
and her mom found the Tinkerbell squares that
I used on the tops of the blocks from the
back of a Tink Calendar...
ya know the little squares that preview the big pages in the calendar?
Isn't that a good idea??
I thought so!

I also made Jenna a birthday shirt!
I love this...
Allikaye already requested a 3 for herself!

Hope you have a great week!
Go get a pet!

xoxo
