No more diapers!

Oh, Nebraska!
This past weekend was spent with
some great fam in the land of 'the good life'...

Allikaye loves it out there mainly for these 2 reasons...
This is Emma and Addie...my cousin Amber's sweet girls...
and what we call Allikaye's cousins.
She LOVES them!
It was just like when I was younger playing
with my fun cousins out on the farm!

Oh... and Amber's hubby, Joe...
even took Allikaye and I out on the big tractor!
It was pretty exciting...seriously!
Allie keeps talking about how the tractor
had big wheels and was spraying the corn...
even though while we were riding it she just said...
"look at the birds!"
It was a good trip!
We also got to see my cousin Anna's gorgeous twin boys get dedicated...
and celebrated her big 3-0 bday...
and ate some of my Aunt's delicious cookin'!

This is what we watched a.l.l. the way out there...
Disney Princesses...
over and over and over...

But THIS princess out weighs them all...
Ariel...
She is the favorite princess in these parts...
she has been for awhile...
and I can now announce...
Ariel has even aided in the potty training of my girl!!
Those Ariel p@nties are the ultimate motivation for Miss Allikaye!

Drum roll, pa-lease...
We have completed our potty training!!
WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!
Happy day!

Snowed In...

This is Allikaye playing in the left over snow...
last week...

This is today...
It has not stopped snowing since Thursday...
so we are on day 3...
Matt finally dug us out and brought us Applebees to go.

So we have been watching Milo and Otis...
which is an amazing movie...
Allie just asks, "what's Milo doing now?"
throughout the whole thing.
Except when the bear comes she said,
"Don't worry mom, Jesus will save us from the bear!"

We were able to have a little pre-snow outing at Target...
so here is a shot of the beautiful natural smile from Miss Allikaye...
And have you seen the awesome deals at Target lately?
heheheh...

Easter Weekend Fun...

Happy Easter!
What a glorious and beautiful celebration Easter is!
God's love for little 'ol us is A-MAZ-ING!

Here are some shots from our fun-filled...
but VERY cold and snowy...
Easter weekend!

Let's first start off with a little visit to the...
bunny!
Alllikaye was so excited and once she sat on his lap,
she chose a spot on the floor,
and stared...
But she loved her bunny ears!!
And kept saying, "that bunny was funny...and really nice to me!"

Then Saturday we were off to a c-h-i-l-l-y
Easter Egg Hunt.
Not just any hunt...
the eggs were dropped down onto the field from a helicopter!
Seriously?
This will be talked about at our house for days!

Our sweet and wonderful and fun friends, Irene and Jasper,
and their c.u.t.e. kids came too!
Here we are awaiting the "go" to get our eggs!
Here is Miss Thing...
She would mostly just open each egg
and see if there was chocolate inside...
It was very cold...
but super fun...
an incredible memory of Allikaye's first Egg Hunt!

Later Saturday we went to Matt's parents for dinner...
We did some singing with sweet Aunt Katie
And we played some fishing on the IPhone...
And of course...cracked some eggs on daddy's head...
Oh...here is the 'smile for the camera' face!
Open your eyes, girlfriend! hehehe...

Then on to Easter Sunday!!
As Allikaye says, "Yay, Jesus!!"
Here is Allikaye in her Easter Dress...
in all her cuteness!

And here is the little lady having some yummy brunch...

Then home...
after a much needed nap...
the Easter bunny came to our house!!

That little bunny brought Allikaye an Elefun game...
Air shoots little butterflies out of the trunk...
and ya catch them with nets...
very exciting!
Then we looked for more eggs around the house...

So fun!
I love the joy that our Allikaye adds to everything!

Keeping Entertained....

What do you do to stay entertained?
Besides Annie and Mary Poppins...
we can add An American Tale, with Fievel,
and Charlotte's Web to the list...

Swimming!!
Allikaye loved it so much!
She has talked about it everyday since...
"When I wake up? Go swimming?"
In fact, she loved swimming so much that she threw a tantrum...
photo evidence...
when I told her she should probably just wear one swimsuit over her pajamas...
sorry!

We also decided to do some painting...
with sponges and q-tips and paper plates and construction paper.
Notice the bowl of pretzels and juice...
the artist demanded it...
Here are two of our finished products...
she wanted a bunny cut out...
and a "Little Foot"...
yeah, we watch Land Before Time too.

So that's been our entertainment lately!
Oh...I almost forgot...
we are also working on smiling for the camera...
we still need to work on making it a bit more natural...
