Goose Hiss

Have you ever wanted to just hiss at someone?
Yeah, thought so!
Matt and I call it a goose hiss...
because that's what the geese do when you sneak up on them.
We like to goose hiss people...often...

Allikaye got to experience this goose hiss first hand...

Our Happy Place

I also think it is quite humorous
that every year the hike up gets a little harder...
my calves burn a little more...
and I need more and more little rest stops!!

Part Deux on our BFF adventure...
led us to b-e-a-utiful Glenwood Springs!!

We stayed at the Historical Hotel Colorado!

For most of the trip Miss Rhonda had a stomach thing going on...
so as Jared thought he was going to be the third wheel for Matt and I...
I ended up being the third wheel for Matt and Jared!
I am thankful they are good friends though!

We did a little mini-golfin...

Walked around Downtown Glenwood...
Then we found a deal in this little boutique...
it was buy 1 pair of sunglasses for $12
Or 3 pairs for $25!
So Jared, Matt and I all picked out a super cool pair
of new shades!
However, Jared and Matt picked the same pair...
and became the best of buds the rest of the time...
especially when they were both sporting their
too tough aviator glasses!

Rhonda came out to dinner with us...
so here we are posing like the boys...

BFF...Day Uno...

Here is my BFFFFFF, Rhonda, and me!

We met freshman year of college...
played on the same vb team...
lived together all 4 years...
had e.v.e.r.y. class together...
we are basically sisters...
seriously!
She needs to move closer to me...
seriously!

We had a heck of a time with her hubby Jared and her...
they were visiting from Idaho!!

We started off our BFF adventure with a little trip to Manitou Springs...
a fun little Colorado town.

There are natural springs all along the streets...
Jared was brave to try the egg-y tasting one...yum!

The highlight of Manitou are the Penny Arcades...
v-e-r-y old school games...
Here is Allikaye and Auntie Rhonda!

There were so many ride-on things...
brought me back to my youth!

We played skee-ball! My fave!!
I challenge any one to beat me...
except my mama (I get my skillz from her)!

The pinball games were so fabulous!
I could have taken pictures of the neat old-ness of them all day!

It's getting hot in here

What do we do almost everyday?
Swim!
Thankfully our pool is right across our parking lot...
beautiful townhome livin!

After wrestling Miss Thang to put on her sunscreen...
or as she calls it, "sun SCREAM"
she grabs her floaty and r.u.n.s!

I can barely make it behind her before this...

She is just the prettiest little girl...
I just can't express how much I love her...
ah!

She loves to float all by her big girl self...

This is the newest cool thing to do in the pool...
she learned this by watching some big kids swimming one day...

Although, I may be waiting awhile to make these again!
They weren't the easiest to make pretty and perfect and round...
I'll stick to my day-job...
which is being at home with my babe! Woohoo!

Free Movie!

Allikaye had her first movie theater experience!!
Regal Theaters has Free Family Movies every Tuesday and Wednesday...
So we ventured out this week!

The movie was Horton Hears a Who...
and Allikaye LOVED it!

She sat right in between Matt and me
with her little container of popcorn
and an icee.

Doesn't she look like such a big girl!
Look at those long legs!

We are excited to go again this summer!
Except we will go a little earlier to get a better seat...
lots of kids there...the parking lot was filled with mini vans!
But it was free...
and it is a perfect memory of my sweet toddler!
