First time we went to Hanging Lake, we knew it was a one and 1/2 mile hike. We went to an early dinner first (Mexican) and then decided to go for a "stroll". I didn't know it was one and 1/2 miles straight up!!!! Nevertheless, it was beautiful and we have been back many times.
I think your little spot it pretty romantic too! I can see why you like it so much. You made me laugh, talking about how each year gets a little more taxing to hike up to it...
