Girl's Night...

Girl's Night Out...
it is a beautiful thing!
Especially when it is with aaa-mazing friends!
This girl's night was a little bittersweet however...
because one of my BFFFFFFFs is moving away from me!!

waahh...tears...oh my...

Here is Sarah (the mover) and me...

who was so amazingly good all night!

she doesn't update her blog very often...

this is a quality I love in my friends...hehe
5. She has the ca-utest boy - Josiah - who happens to really like me!
6. She loves the Lord...and it shows...really does
7. She is not a complainer - which I admire
8. She is an excellent friend...excellent...excellent
9. She loves and respects her hubby...she calls him her 'hubbalish'

friend, wife, mom.

Hello Fall!!

I lalala-love this time of the year!!

I love the colors...
the leaves...
the weather...
the candles...
the coziness!

Matt and me got engaged September 22nd...
7 years ago!!
Yes, fall, I love you!

I am just a tad bit excited for the sweatshirts and pants...
I just may have made Allikaye a few hair pretties too...
which I should confess, we have already bought candy corn...
and pumpkin spice hershey kisses...
and pumpkin spice lattes, of course!

I happen to have
a very strong willed
verbal
outgoing
smart
independent
active
little 2 1/2 year old!

So awhile back I found these
Happy Tickets...

These tickets are working great for Allikaye!
We started them when Miss Thang was
getting rid of her pacifier addiction...
which by the way is o.v.e.r!! Yaya!

She now gets tickets when she cleans up her messes...
obeys right away...
shares...
and other little requests from mama...
she got one for practicing walking on her toes
in her ballet shoes the other day!

She LOVES putting her ticket in the jar...
and then after 3 she gets to pick a prize
from the Treat Jar...
or as Allikaye says,
"Treat BAR"

I filled up her treat jar with
little Target $1 things and hershey kisses.

Camping.
Let's just say
that Allikaye had lots of fun...
which the longer I am a parent,
the more I understand that is really all that matters!

I had to take lots of pictures at first
because Allikaye was so excited!

She was singing some song about camping here...

After the sun went down
the fire was roarin...

Miss Thang dug right in!

Good job, dad!

So the fire was great fun...
then it was bed time!
We got Allikaye all bundled up.
She had her new princess sleeping bag,
some stuffed animals,
cozy blankets,
she was set!

Let's just say it was slumber party central
in that tent...
she would not go to sleep!
I think the excitement of having mom, dad, and Tre
all in the tent with her
was just too much!

So finally the sleepy train came...
for Allikaye.

Matt and I were
so uncomfortable
and
FREEZING!!!

The good parents that we are,
we gave Miss all the good blankets.

When we woke up (wait...did I even sleep?),
I knew the night was cold,
but this is what we saw outside our tent...

FROST! Snow!!! What?!

Brrrr and Brrrr!

It warmed up a little
and we went for a little walk to the lake...

It was so pretty...
worth the cold sleepless night...
kinda.

Our son didn't seem to mind the cold...

There was steam coming off of the beautiful lake all morning...
does that mean the air was colder than the water?
Brrr...

This was a new and exciting adventure
for Miss Allikaye...
I need to remember that fact!

Matt and I have decided that our next camping trip
will include a mattress and a more
substantial shelter!

We're off...
